I'm an award-winning journalist and veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy. Born in Ottawa, Ontario I obtained a degree in Computer Science from the Royal Military College before sailing around Africa aboard HMCS TORONTO in a historic NATO deployment (notably taking part in a search and rescue operation in the shadow of an exploding volcano). As an engineering officer at the Expeditionary Force Command headquarters I also helped with the wind down of the Afghanistan mission and Canada's response to the 2010 earthquake that rocked Haiti.
After voluntarily releasing from the military in 2011 I completed a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During that time I won an Atlantic Journalism Award for my work covering the Occupy protests. I was also nominated for a National Newspaper Award for my work as part of a team investigating immigration fraud in Prince Edward Island. Upon graduating, I helped fundraise over $10,000 for a music magazine startup and more recently exposed a Canadian cannabis company's mistreatment of its workers.
I'm excited to start presenting my fiction to the world. It's what I've always wanted to do, ever since I first read Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. Some of my other favourite authors include Margaret Atwood, Michael Crichton and Stephen King.
This year I will be releasing Off Grid, a fast-paced, dystopian thriller that explores the shifting morals required of war. It's also my first full length novel. I'm hoping for it to be available by this coming Fall (2026). If you'd like to receive a copy please click here to get on my email list.
